Pool gets the job done. prompt drink service but nothing like some of the other pools in Vegas
After spending time at the MGM Grand pool a few months earlier, I was was thoroughly disapointed with the NYNY pool. And to top it all off as a coaster flew by overhead, a piece of the track structure fell off and landed in the pool area. Someone could have been killed! I am not kidding!
Just got back (May 2008) and wanted to add my review because I thought the pool got a bad rap. I liked it, a little crowded but it had a lot of different ages not just a bunch of young kids partying. The coaster is not that load, I napped with it running.
Great pool, but most of it in shade untill early afternoon.
Comfortable chairs. Screams from the nearby roller coaster was not conducive for r&r by the pool.
SMALL! !!!!!!
This pool shocked us when we first stepped out to it because of how small it was. There is no landscaping area at all. The concrete seating area is right next to the pool and very crowded. The roller coaster runs right over heard and very noisy with screaming and metal gridding. And did I say...SMALL...it is smaller than our local swimming pool! For the prices they charge at NY NY Hotel..you would think they could've put a better pool area in---NOT!
