I've stayed at the Flamingo on three occasions. The pool is terrific, but it is crowded. Still, they actually let you use the pool until 8:00 p.m. during the summer; a bonus.
I have stayed at the Flamingo numerous times. I love it. I will be back there next month (July '08). Yes, it is crowded, but its a big pool. Yes, you have to get down there early if you want to get a lounge chair. Its a WADING POOL not a swimming pool. The waterfall and grotto are great, the slide is fun too and I'm a full grown adult.
Very crowded, but a fun young crowd. If you are all about people watching and meetinbg new people, this is the place. You may have to wait for a chair or wait for a drink
Best pool for family with kids. Only hotel with 3 water slides. Kids love it which makes the parent loves it. Water falls and exotic animals are added plus.
i hate how the pool is soo low and shallow and you cant swim i like the pool and the water slid and all but it sucks when you go down the water slide and feel the hard floor
We were here with 3 other couples - very disappointed in pool hours it was 102 and the pool closed at 5pm and Security Guard came around and booted you out. Large Pool - Waitresses are more interested in chatting up the male cutomers than serving drinks. We were never served - had to line up with 100s of others. Anyone can walk into pool area (no key access) and we believe a lot of locals and time share guests from next door were at the pool - way overcrowded (it was hot). Then we discovered the upper pool which gets more shade -- it was quiet and relaxing -- should have gone to that pool every day. Definitely the better choice of pools.
Totally agree with KraftyKelly this was the communal pool for Las Vegas. We were never checked to see if we were guests and continually saw people walking off the street into the pool area ( the gate was never locked and never checked). You were lucky to be able to get a chair. We will not be back at the Flamingo.
My wife & I and 4 friends spent 5 nights at Flamingo this August. The pool was great. And the Fosters Grenades are good if you drink them fast as they get hot too quick. But a few points,,,, We found your site price of the Cabanas is wrong,,They start at $300.00 per day Mon/Thur.(not 175.00)....Dont dare enter the water before 9AM or the hitler attendent will yell at You..
this pool area was quite entertaining, all age groups, although more of the younger group (21-29), drinks everywhere, lots of fun. go early for a chair.
The lagoon is a great family pool; the waterfalls are a definite plus. Almost impossible to find a chair, but since they are all in the blazing sun it doesn't really matter. My only real complaint is the over-chlorination in the pool, so if you don't want your eyes or hair to get ruined, plan ahead.
I agree with the landscaping and outlay of the pool area and the overcrowding. We were here when Caesars pools were closed for a private function and you can imagine what the place was like with accomodating 2 hotels guests in 110 degrees. It is still worth a visit.
Beautiful landscaping, still one of the best pools in town. Downsides are no heated pools and extremely crowded and difficult to find a chair.
