The Luxor pool Cabanas are a HUGE dissapointment. I was there over the weekend and paid 300 dollars for a cabana that was not exclusive, private, and that had HORRIBLE service. It all started when we got there and we had to call the host 3 times just to get some drinks. They charge a 18% gratuity tip, but this dosnt cover your hostess. The $45 dollar tip covers the cabana host who dosnt do shit. The host dosnt wait on you, clean the cabana, or even make you feel welcome, yet your forced to give him a $45 dollar tip. PLEASE PLEASE go to a different pool. I didnt even mention that all the pools are only 3 1/2 foot deep. The Hotel is awesome, its to bad that the pool is so sub par. The worst $300 i ever spent!!!! I could go on forever but this is just the worst pool cabana ive ever had.

I disliked the Luxor pools. All pools were 3 1/2 feet deep like we were in kindergarten! When I want to go swimming I want to be able to fully submerge. If I wanted to go wading up to my thighs I would go to the ocean. Not recommended! World's biggest kiddie pool!

Very busy, even during the week. By noon, most seating is already taken. Pools are not very deep. Closed quite early. The only way I got a shady spot was by getting there at opening.

I got there on a Saturday, and it was PACKED! I was really upset, because I couldn't find a place to sit, let alone lounge, no available chairs, and it was really, really packed.
I went back on Monday and what a difference....apparently it isn't so bad during the week.
The pools themselves are very nice, but there isn't much shade, as I recall, and it got sort of too hot after awhile.

My advice is to bring plenty of sunscreen and a coverup, plus a hat...you might need them if you are there in the warmer months.

Good pools. Four pools to choose from. Nice and peaceful area. The Luxor piramid is a cool back drop.

The main pool is large and nicely decorated with Palm trees. The smaller pools are nice also. The main complaint I have is there is NO shade at all....the entire pool area is concrete with only potted Palm Trees...no other foliage/grassy areas. The looks of the pool area is very nice, but just not lush or tropical. The view up toward the pyramid is fantastic.
